I am an international PhD student and English is my second language. I joined Adelaide Rostrum Club No.1 in 2012 because I wanted to improve my oral English. Soon I realised that the Club provides not only skills for public speaking but also great opportunities for learning Australian values and culture. The members in my club have diverse backgrounds, ages and occupations, which is the epitome of multicultural Australia. I have made some good friends in the Club and they help me adapt myself to my new environment. I enjoy my time in every meeting and I thank the members in my club for their support.
